New 4th Generation iMacApple released a 4th generation iMac with some new design features.  Built of brushed aluminum and glass, Apple designers have taken a design cue from their pro model line.  The current versions of the iPod Nano have also been redesigned with brushed anodized aluminum.  The new keyboard for the iMac has also been redesigned with a very thin brushed aluminum base with MacBook like plastic white buttons.  A Bluetooth mini version of the new keyboard has also been released.

There are two screen sizes of the new iMac all-in-one desktop.  They are now a slimmer 20 and 24 inch widescreen.  The usual features available are USB 2.0, slot loading SuperDrive, iSight camera, Firewire 400 and now with an Firewire 800 port.  It also has Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11n WiFi, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro with 256MB memory or an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB memory graphics, 8x SuperDrive, 1GB of RAM and up to 1TB of hard drive storage.  The new models sport the Intel Core 2 Duo starting at 2.0GHz all the way up to an Intel Core 2 Extreme clocked at 2.8 GHz.

The price for the entry level model is $1,199 for the 20-inch, $1,499 for a cpu and graphics upgrade, $1,799 for the 24-inch model and the highest end model goes for $2,299 for the Core 2 Extreme. Via Engadget.
