Apple introduces the new Logic Studio professional music software which is formerly called Logic Pro 8. Apple also upgraded Logic Express, a smaller yet efficient version of Logic Studio. Logic Express has some important new updates that will bring it to more of a pro level.
Logic Stuido’s upgraded new features are a new single-window graphical interface (like Aperture). It includes improved editing, Soundtrack Pro 2.0 is now included, and the ability to, “save your key commands, channel strip settings and plug-in settings to your .Mac account for easy backup, sharing and portability”. The full version of the new Logic Studio is available for $499 and the upgrade is going for $199.
Logic Express is taking some features from Logic Studio including, “full notation, 24-bit/192kHz resolution and Quick Swipe comping”. Owners of the previous version of Logic Express have an option to upgrade for $99.
