Apple iPod Sixth BirthdayToday is the day that Apple’s wildly popular music player the iPod, that has seen over 100 million units sold, had it’s birthday.  The day that the original iPod was released, I had mine ordered knowing that this was the next breakout consumer electronics device.  After I received mine from Taiwan, via global express shipping, it was immediately connected to iTunes.  The ease of use, the box it was shipped in, the amount of accessories included was all great.  A year after use, I decided to purchase a new iPod so it went up for sale.

Apple iMac 24 inch Models Having Condensation ProblemsReports of issues concerning the 24 inch iMac have started to crop up now that they have been out a while.  The new anodized aluminum 4th generation iMac‘s that were first released back in early August are starting to show some strange problems.  Today, it seems that condensation is forming on the inside of the screen, according to people familiar with the issue.  The condensation shows up in the lower corners of the affected iMac’s, goes away, and then comes back when the area around the computer drops in temperature.

iPod Touch Bluetooth Rumor Discovers Marvell 802.11a/b/g WiFi ChipiPod Touch from Apple is the first iPod to include WiFi capability.  Before the device was released, pictures were shown that included a Bluetooth connection icon on the top right corner of the screen next to the battery meter.  Users were excited about the idea for using a Bluetooth headset to listen to music or sounds from the iPod Touch.  Finally, the iPod Touch was released and a team from iFixit wanted to find out if there indeed was a Bluetooth chip inside of the device.

Apple 3G iPods Have Locked TV OutThe new Apple Video iPods, have an interesting video out feature.  The Nano and Classic iPods only export TV out signals with add-ons that have the new Apple approved authentication chip.  These chips are being embedded within the docks/cables to unlock the TV out setting.

Apple iPod TouchApple has introduced another version of the iPod at their recent press event a few days ago.  The iPod Touch looks strinkengly familir to the home screen on the iPhone.  The iPhone has more options such as a mapping function, an actual radio transmitter for cellular phone use and the always important visual voicemail.  The iPod Touch however, has a lot of benefits to the end user, such as a smaller form factor, integrated WiFi and namely the Touch sensitivity.
