Mark Fields President and CEO Ford Motor Company at CES 2017
The Ford Motor Company is a top worldwide automaker and provider of mobility solutions. Fresh from his visit to CES and Ford’s booth, the buzz this year surrounds their newer Fusion Hybrid autonomous development vehicle, GT, electrified vehicles and more.
Social media posts for the trip and travels around Detroit began earlier today, January 7th from Las Vegas and will continue until mid-day on January 10th. He will be live posting early on Eastern US local time.
Chris Rauschnot @24k said, “Showcasing what Ford will offer in 2017 and beyond will be fun. I will be utilizing livestreaming social media platforms to showcase what is new in the auto industry. The Blue Oval is targeting Millennials and future car buyers. As a key opinion leader in the technology and automotive industries, I continue to be a good fit for them to “move the needle” in a positive direction.”
“The coverage I produce will provide Detroit, Michigan and Ford with positive exposure for all. I have worked with Ford for many years showcasing technology inside of their vehicles, how their cars and trucks are designed and what the future of mobility looks like. Covering travel and technology and how they work together, is a way I engage with my followers,” he said.

Ford’s massive NAIAS 2017 presence will carry over some of what it showcased during CES 2017. Their main announcements at NAIAS will surely include further information about the next-generation Fusion Hybrid autonomous test vehicle, Sync 3 infotainment updates now with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant, WiFi to Sync 3 by integrating AT&T’s 4G LTE, Sync AppLink feature expansion and more global hackathons.
“Sync Connect allows travelers to stay connected and entertained on the go,” said Don Butler, executive director, Ford Connected Vehicle and Services. “The new Wi-Fi hot spot capability will allow kids to easily watch movies and listen to music, or, if you’re on the job, to quickly send emails and access the web from wherever you are.”
AT&T 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot Technology in Ford Vehicles
Starting in the Fall, a few 2018 Ford vehicles will support up to 10 shared simultaneous WiFi connections via the AT&T 4G LTE connection. The WiFi range is up to 50 feet, which is great when you want to stop and do some livestreaming from vacation spots or upload Snaps from National Parks.
NAIAS 2017 will be open to the public at the Cobo Center in Downtown Detroit, from January 14th through the 22nd.
The more Twitter, Instagram and Facebook users that retweet, favorite, comment and share Chris’ posts, the more engagement there will be for all.
