Apple’s Final Cut Pro 4 has now been released. It is a paid software upgrade for the consumer level video editing suite. It was one of two software suites from Apple that was yet to be a paid for upgrade in recent days. Aperture was updated for Leopard at version 1.5.6, but a larger pay upgrade has not been released.
Final Cut Express 4 offers an “Open Timeline” format that allows users a plethora of options when editing video. Video’s from sources such as DV, AVCHD cameras (PowerPC users are left out as it is Intel-only), HDV. It also allows users to take iMovie ’08 projects and import them into Final Cut Express 4. To many users delight, Apple is shipping FxPlug filters, as well as LiveType 2 in a bundle.
Users wanting to get in on the action of FinalCut Express 4 now only have to come up with $199 as apposed to the previous price of $299. Upgrades from previous versions are now just $99. Via Tuaw.
