Google Docs Mobile Optimized For iPhoneAn upgrade for Google Docs has been announced on the official Google Blog.  They have added more capabilities for mobile phones to view documents created in their docs, spreadsheets and presentation applications.  The new mobile site is currently being introduced for only one mobile phone at this time.

The iPhone will be able to “view” not edit documents created in the Google online software suite.  To visit the new mobile site on an iPhone go to http://docs.google.com/m.

Google may add the capability to edit these document files in the future.  Google could change the mobile docs programming or create a third party software program for the iPhone.  If Google chooses to create a new software program it would most definitely be released sometime after the February ’08 launch of the iPhone SDK kit from Apple.
