iPhone And MacBook Third Quarter Sales NumbersApple’s sales of hardware products, especially the iPhone, MacBook’s, and MacBook Pro’s have been particularly strong in the third quarter.  There have been 1.12 million iPhone shipped in the US.  Global sales predictions say that Apple will see an increase of one-percent in world wide laptop market share.

Alley Insider says that Apple now has 27-percent of the smartphone, iPhone cell phone, market in its third fiscal quarter, or 1.12 million out of 4.2 million units sold.

iPhone FrontFor perspective, there has and continues to be strong demand for smartphones which has tripled since last year.  They have made up 11-percent of a total 38 million cell phones sold.  Just the year before 1.5 million smartphones out of 36.5 million cell phones were sold.

Another online analyst DigiTimes, reports that of the 116 million laptops to ship in 2008, Apple should see market share increase one-percent globally for its MacBook and MacBook Pro models.  Worldwide year-end projections show that sales of laptops will achieve 93 million units for 2007.
