iPhone Ecamm Network iPhoneDrive

iPod users are familiar with using their unused space for storing files.  Mac OS X and Windows users are able to do this with their iTunes and iPod software.  Unfortunately, iPhone users are not yet able to do this quite yet.

Ecamm Network has released iPhoneDrive for Mac OS X, no Microsoft Windows version yet.  The software will set you back $9.95.  This is worth the money, especially if you carry around a flash drive, which usually cost $20.  The iPhone was meant to be the all-in-one device, but is missing some critical features that even the iPod has.

The program is simple and it appears from the review on their web site quite easy to use, even for the novice user.  It simply exchanges space that would normally go unused to usable flash space.  The program does not allow you access to the iPhone’s music, videos, SIM unlocking or the iPhone file system.  As soon as the first iPhone firmware update comes out, this function will probably be added.
