T-Mobile Germany has announced with Apple that they are the exclusive iPhone carrier for the region. Germany will be receiving the 8GB iPhone as O2 in the UK announced yesterday. The release date for the iPhone cellphone will be on November 9th, as the graphic from T-Moilbe’s own web site shows above.
The iPhone will be available for €399 ($553 / £276) and will require a 2-year contract. T-Mobile made an announcement about their EDGE data network saying, “By the end of 2007, T-Mobile will be the only network operator in Germany to offer EDGE throughout its entire GSM network.” This is great news as O2 in the UK had said that their current EDGE data rollout is at 30%.
