@VegasBiLL along with @24kMedia will be live Tweeting the next NASA Social event near Los Angeles, California at the agency’s Dryden Flight Research center on Edwards Air Force Base. NASA’s space shuttle Endeavor will arrive piggyback, on a special 747, to the Air Force Base. @VegasBiLL and @24kMedia will be two of only a few participants with rare inside access at the two-day event.

“As James Cook set the standard with his seafaring Endeavour voyage, more than 200 years ago, I hope to educate and inspire future generations of explorers and social media followers with one-of-a-kind experiences in space, technology, events, food, celebrities, travel and tourism,” said Bill Cody @VegasBiLL.

NASA is hosting this rare social event on September 19 – 20 at NASA’s Dryden Flight Research center on Edwards Air Force Base. The NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is currently set to arrive at the facility on September 19th and depart September 20th for Los Angeles International Airport, where it will be housed in a hangar, until its transfer in October to the California Science Center.

“Engaging the fine people at NASA, via social media, over the last several years, continues to be amazing. Now we all get a chance to interact live, in a dynamic environment, that only they could setup,” said Chris Rauschnot @24kMedia.

Endeavour completed 25 missions, spent 299 days in orbit, and orbited Earth 4,671 times while traveling 122,883,151 miles. Participants for this NASA Social event will be arriving from around the United States.

The two-day event will be a rare opportunity for NASA Social followers to see the landing and departure of Endeavor on NASA’s 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, speak with experts, tour shuttle support vehicles and other NASA aircraft. The social gathering will include time for participants to socialize with fellow NASA fans and the staff who inform the world with their posts.
